Update nameservers and DNS settings

Point your .st domain to the correct hosting by updating nameservers on Dot.st.

Nameservers tell the internet where to find DNS records for your domain. Update them carefully from your Dot.st domain settings.

Step 1: Sign in and open Domains. Click the domain you want to change.

Step 2: Open the Nameservers section. Note your current values before editing in case you need to revert.

Step 3: Enter the hostnames your hosting provider gave you — commonly two entries such as ns1.host.com and ns2.host.com. Dot.st accepts up to four nameserver hostnames.

Step 4: Save changes. DNS propagation can take from minutes to 48 hours depending on old TTL values.

Step 5: If you host DNS on Dot.st defaults, use the DNS or record controls on the same page instead of external nameservers.

Step 6: Test after propagation using a browser incognito window or a DNS lookup tool. Confirm www and root both resolve if you need both.

Typos in nameserver hostnames are a common outage cause. If the site breaks after a change, revert to the previous nameservers and open dot.st/support if you need help confirming the correct values with your host.
