Renew domains and use auto-renew

Keep your .st names active with manual renewal or wallet auto-renew on Dot.st.

Letting a domain expire can mean losing your website, email, and brand. Dot.st makes renewal straightforward from your account.

Step 1: Sign in to Dot.st and open Domains. Find the name you want to renew and note the expiry date shown on the row or detail page.

Step 2: For a one-time renewal, open the domain and choose Renew. Confirm the fee — whole dollars from your wallet — and submit. The new expiry date updates after the registry accepts the renewal.

Step 3: To automate future renewals, enable Auto-renew on the domain or from portfolio settings where available. Dot.st attempts renewal before expiry using your wallet balance.

Step 4: Keep your wallet funded. Open Billing on Dot.st to add funds manually or turn on auto top-up so renewals do not fail overnight.

Step 5: Watch for low-balance emails. If renewal fails for insufficient funds, top up quickly — registry grace periods are limited.

Step 6: After renewal, confirm the updated expiry in Domains and save your invoice from Billing for your records.

Questions about a failed renewal? Open dot.st/support while signed in and include the domain name and approximate expiry date.
